Description

In this AGBU WebTalk, Dr. Boris Adjemian, Director of the AGBU Nubar Library in Paris, explores the history of this unique institution. In founding the library almost a century ago in 1928, the leaders of AGBU intended to create a place of memory where they could preserve what could be saved from the destroyed Armenian heritage of the Ottoman Empire. Over the years the Library has grown into a center for research and active participation in the life of the diaspora. Today, the library continues to expand its activities and academic endeavors to advance the ever-evolving field of Armenian studies.
