BREAD & SALT: SEASON 1: Home Blessing

Home and family life reside at the very core of Armenian life, and the Armenian Church gives us a beautiful tradition with which to honor it. What is the significance, and what can we expect to see, hear, and taste at a “Home Blessing” service?

The Eastern Diocese is pleased to introduce a new video series, titled “Bread and Salt: Stories from the Armenian Church.” In this inaugural episode, Kathryn Ashbahian explains the symbolism of the “Water Blessing” service performed in the Armenian Church on January 6, the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord.
