BREAD & SALT: SEASON 2: Tongues of Fire
Everyone knows that Armenia became the world’s first Christian nation in 301 A.D. But it was a long journey from the Holy Land to the Ararat Valley. How did this faith first reach our homeland? The story of Armenia’s conversion to Christianity is the theme for the second season of “Bread and Salt: Stories from the Armenian Church.” The first episode, titled “Tongues of Fire,” introduces us to the two Apostles who brought Christianity to Armenia.
The Eastern Diocese is pleased to introduce a new video series, titled “Bread and Salt: Stories from the Armenian Church.” In this inaugural episode, Kathryn Ashbahian explains the symbolism of the “Water Blessing” service performed in the Armenian Church on January 6, the Feast of the Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord.
